Second island will not save progress.

After I constructed the theatre, the second island won't save any progress and each time I visit, anything that I may have done is gone. Has anyone else seen this issue or is just me? Sent help request to GI, waiting to hear back.

I haven't gotten as far as you on that island. It's very slow to expand on there. I'm in my second section, but everything is backed up.

So while waiting to hear from GI, I decided to try and destroy the theatre. Every time I try the game crashes and after restart it is still there.

I had the same issue and I remember to wait on the second island for a couple hours without exit and some how it went away after that.

I just had the same problem happen this morning. But I had already built the theater and was less than a half hour from my first long term run to be finished. I also had been actively playing on the third island for a few hours. This is the first problem I have had with the game. Very frustrating. I am totally done on the first island. It is just making me money. I hate that there is stuff to be done on the second that I can't do. I emailed support. Have not heard anything back yet. Going to try hong's suggestion. Can't hurt anything at this point. I will let you guys know what happens.

What is the process to make sure the game saves progress if I build the theater? Do I just make sure not to leave the island for another island for awhile or is it that I cant leave the game at all for hours?

Or should I wait to build a theater until after I get on the 3rd island? I'm still on the 2nd island. But I really want those happy points from the theater so I can build my 2nd villa (I already have max museums & schools)

I tried it again. I left the game on the second island and left the iPad on while plugged in overnight. when I woke up the game had crashed, as it wasn't on my screen. But when I started the game back up my progress from second island had been saved. Everything seems to be working now. Before when I tried, I had turned the iPad screen off.

I dont think it has to do with the theater finished but rather with going to the 3rd island. b/c my progress stopped and my theater isnt done yet. But I did just go to the 3rd island for the first time and then also the 1st island right before the lost progress problen started. So now I am trying again without leaving the 2nd island or closing the game overnight
